Ekushey February Martyr Day and International Mother Language Day. It is a day of tragic and glorious memories of the Bengali people's language movement. On this day of 1952 (8 Falgun, 1359), a lot of people including Salam, Barkat, Jabbar, fell on the ground in the firing of the police on the protesters demanding Bangla to become one of the state's state languages.
