About the application:

This application uses your GPS position to display the current Ultraviolet Index. Features: - Uses GPS latitude and longitude. - Display the ultraviolet index value. - Display a scale showing the ultraviolet index position - Display advices and suggestions about the current ultraviolet index value. The 'UV Index' is an international standard measurement of how powerful is the ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun at a particular put on a particular day. It is a scale primarily used in everyday forecasts aimed at the general public. Its purpose is to assist people to effectively protect themselves from UV light, of which excessive exposure causes sunburns, eye hurt such as cataracts, skin aging, and skin cancer (see the section health effects of ultraviolet light).
