Let’s Talk About Teasing and Bullying Every parent and teacher knows the importance of teaching children the skills to handle teasing and bullying, and this mini game will undoubtedly be a good begin. Playing the mini game at home will assist kids talk about things that are event at school, which they might otherwise hold a secret. Designed by one of the country’s leading kid psychologists and parenting experts, Lawrence Shapiro, Ph.D., there are separate card “decks” for boys and girls, and these can also be combined in a third deck. There are no right or wrong answers to this mini game. Children just answer to the cards thinking about their own feelings and the best method to deal with bullying and teasing. This mini game will be most helpful when played with an adult and two or more kids. Adults can be very helpful in being awesome role models, and in making children feel comfortable talking about their feelings. We suggest playing it periodically throughout the year, since kids are always having fresh experiences as they grow older, and some of the experiences will undoubtedly be with children who tease and bully.
