When a loved one or someone you are otherwise responsible for leaves home for a short walk or exercise, you wish to know that they will return home safely and when expected. Yet you don't wish to violate their right to privacy by putting them under constant surveillance. You just wish to be notified if and when they need assist or are at risk of finding themselves in a precarious or uncomfortable situation. If your government has issued a curfew, PeriSecure Alert will warn you if you're in danger of violating the curfew. PeriSecure is a system of two apks, PeriSecure Alert and PeriSecure Monitor, that work together to provide independence and confidence to older adults to leave home temporarily whenever they want. PeriSecure Alert runs on the user's smartphone and shows them their distance and time away from home and notifies them with a beep and a buzz when they are approaching the maximum distance that they had set when starting out, when they could be returning home or if their smartphone battery is running low. PeriSecure Monitor runs on a smartphone or smartphone and enables an individual to act as a "guardian angel" to one or more players of PeriSecure Alert, receiving notifications whenever a player 's smartphone had indicated one of the potential issues indicated above or if the player had pressed a "panic button", which becomes active once they are being monitored with PeriSecure Monitor. In any case, the guardian angel may smartphone the player or immediately receive directions to the user's location. Note that players of PeriSecure Alert are in control, via an apk setting, of whether or not their guardian angel could be notified if any of the above happenings occur.
