Pendleton Veterinary Clinic was founded in 1947 by a local veterinarian, Dr. Russel Whitford. It was the first veterinary clinic in the place and, at that time, was a mixed animal practice. There were 3 doctors and it wasn't uncommon for them to fly to do their farm calls as they saw patients from Umatilla to Harney County. The clinic has evolved since that time and is now a strictly little animal. As the years went on our practice outgrew our existing place at 1901 SW Court. Plans were created to expand in a fresh place. After 2 years of planning and building, we were able to move into our fresh clinic at 625 SW Emigrant Ave. Our fresh facility will let us to better serve our clients and community and offer an expanded range of services. We offer little animal medicine and surgery, advanced orthopedics, dentistry, digital radiology, boarding and 24-hour emergency service. We are also the veterinary clinic for Blue Mountain Wildlife and treat various wild birds and raptors in the hope of rehabilitation and release back into the wild. Our hospital facility contains an in-hospital surgery suite, state of the art digital x-ray facilities, a supervised treatment place, a little animal pharmacy, and boarding facilities. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories.
