About the application:

MoleculeGo is an augmented reality and place based gaming apk that gamifies the process of learning about molecular biology. In this mini game, the user collects amino acids and DNA sequences, the molecular building blocks used to synthesize proteins. By capturing DNA segments, the user discovers further genes that encode for proteins. These genes provide the player with the important "recipe" to synthesize proteins in their own lab. Later, these proteins can be combined to construct even larger protein complexes. As the user progresses in the mini game, info will become accessible about each molecule's primary function and how its structure is associated with its molecular role. Users can visit schools, parks, hospitals, universities, etc. to collect and learn how these molecules are involved in illness, biomedical apks, research, and their function in the cell.
