When he crossed a running brook, he looked down and saw his own shadow reflected in the water beneath. Thinking it was other dog with other piece of meat, he created up his mind to have that also. So he dropped what he had, and jumped into the water to receive the another piece. But he did not search other dog there, and the meat which he had dropped sank to the bottom, where he should not receive it once more.
