This is the parallel Greek - English text of The Iliad by Homer. The English translation is by A.T. Murray. Each Greek word is linked with a dictionary definition, either from Strong's Fresh Testament Dictionary or from a condensed dictionary. The Iliad is an ancient Greek epic poem, set during the time of the Trojan Fight, a ten-year siege of the town of Troy by a coalition of Greek states. It relates the fights and happenings during the quarrel between Achilles and Lord Agamemnon. The Iliad is, to a degree, a sequel to the Odyssey. Along with the Odyssey, the Iliad is among the oldest extant works of Western literature. It is dated approximately to the 8th century BC.
