  Jack Dziegiel: Play this a couple of times a day and you'll know the notes on the fretboard in a couple of weeks. Much better to play this when you receive a couple of mins at work or while travelling, than wasting your time you receive to actually play a guitar, looking at the guitar neck trying to work out random notes.

  Joe Turner: Good apk. Not excellent but better than others I have looked at. If you are serious about learning the fretboard this will do it for you. I tried every fretboard trainer/learner I should search on Google play and this one is getting the job done quick. Give it a week and you will see how much you have memorized in just that short of time.

Locate/identify/mix lets you work in one mode of thinking or switch back and forth. Scores allow me see progress. Couldn't ask for more, and it's gratis.

  Devan Bennett: I've tried every fretboard apk, and this is the only one I've paid for. The controls are all simple to search. It starts easy and increases at a reasonable pace — and also has expert mode so experienced users can jump right in to the notes they need. There are two methods to search notes which keeps it from getting boring. I feel like I've learned the fretboard better in just 15 mins. And the "reaction time" heatmap is a large premium. The only thing I would change is: give us flats too. Don't change the positions, just the note names.

  Jed L.: Good gratis apk with a beautiful layout. Been using it for a couple of mins each day and I'm seeing quick improvements in my fretboard knowledge. I have some recommendations for making it even better : Must have : 1. Hold track of highscores and the mode(s) used 2. Screen rotation, at least 180 degree rotation 3. When testing for note on a specific string, display string number rather than highlighting it. Created mistakes a few times because the highlighting adds unnecessary difficulty in identifying strings 4. Add extra mode to let mistakes (i.e total 100 notes, count number of mistakes) instead of failing at the first mistake 5. Add flats. Randomly display flat and sharps for selection (i.e instead of A#/Bb, present A# sometimes and Bb at another times) Nice to have : 6. Option to focus on certain positions (1st, 5th, etc) 7. Scales practise If these features were accessible in the paid ver, I would buy it even if you increased the price

  George Selman: Best fretboard apk I've used. What seems like a very intelligent algorithm combined with intuitive controls has seen me create good progress using this apk. I was surprised at how much unlocking guitars with high scores kept me coming back and stopped the boredom and frustration that I previously thought was synonymous with these fretboard apks. The Reaction Times add-on is well worth the little fee to receive it; I've found the insight it gives into where to concentrate on invaluable. The only thing I would add is the option to practice flats instead of just sharps, but overall a good apk. Well worth a download.
