About the application:

Your students will love using their knowledge of US states and capitals to earn their method into the Hall of Fame. Students can select from two skill levels in this fun mini game. Level one displays a state’s geographical shape and name. The student must select that state’s capital town by choosing from the four town names provided. Level two displays only a state’s geographical shape. In both skill levels, students earn 20 points for each correct reply. Each mini game is timed. As soon as a student has 10 correct answers, “timing” premium points start to accumulate. The faster a mini game is completed, the higher the premium point accumulation. A final celebration awaits at the end of a winning mini game (700 points) when patriotic melody begins to play! Play to learn, victory, and march to some toe-tapping melody! ● This mini game is designed to assist students identify the correct capital town name for each state. ● If a student misses a question, the correct reply pops up to provide the student with immediate feedback. ● At the end of each mini game, the student is shown all of their answers – right and wrong – as an occasion for review/ reinforcement. ● The mini game is geared towards middle school students, but any age can learn while having fun playing. ● State map colors indicate the region of the United States. For example, brown indicates a state is in the southwest US. ● Bonus feature – The top ten scores will be listed in the Hall of Fame. ● Another premium feature - The song selections contain well-known tunes, such as “The Stars and Stripes Forever”. The melody comes from recordings by official United States military bands. ● No advertisements! The goal of this mini game is to assist students learn their states and capitals. Since it is geared towards students, there are no advertisements and no in-app purchases. Students simply have fun playing and learning!
