About the application:

Application to assist with the assessment of avalanche risk and security for freeride skiing and snowboarding, ski touring and mountaineering. The two core features of this application are: 1. A screen that helps to calculate the avalanche risk, based on the avalanche report, using the Reduction Way developed by Swiss avalanche expert Werner Munter. 2. A screen that provides a security checklist based on the 3x3 Filter Way developed by Werner Munter. This application can be used anywhere in the globe as it has no regional specific info, but is best in northern latitudes between 35° and 55°. This covers most famous ski places. Additional caution must be used in far northern places such as Alaska and Scandinavia as weaker solar radiation makes the snow package less stable. It must also be adapted for the southern hemisphere. This apk is designed to be used in conjunction with another sources for weather and avalanche forecasts.
